Hart Street Burger Bar: Nashville’s Newest Restaurant at Harthall Hotel

We’re pulling back the curtain on the July recap. Hart Street Burger Bar is officially open at Harthall Hotel in WeHo. Here is the inside scoop on Nashville’s most exciting new dining spot.

There are a few things Nashville does better than anywhere else on earth. We do music, obviously. We do hospitality, undeniably. And we do a good burger-really well.

For months, we’ve been keeping a little secret at 321 Hart St. If you’ve stayed with us recently or walked through the lobby on your way to explore Wedgewood-Houston, you’ve likely seen the construction, heard the buzz, and maybe caught a whiff of something incredible drifting from the ground floor. Well, the wait is over.

Straight from our July recap here at the hotel, we are thrilled to officially announce the opening of Hart Street Burger Bar. This isn’t just a hotel restaurant; it’s a love letter to the neighborhood, the culture, and the classic American craft of griddling.

A Concept Built on Curiosity

At Harthall Hotel, our whole philosophy is built around the idea of “checking in curious, checking out an insider. We want our guests to truly live the Chestnut Hill and WeHo experience, not just pass through it. When we started tossing around ideas for Hart Street Burger Bar, we dead-ass refused to build just another stale hotel lobby café. We wanted a spot that actually matched the messy energy of the arts district right outside.

Think about it: you’ve got someone staying upstairs in a studio suite just casually rubbing elbows at the bar with a painter who’s been renting a loft down the street since 2016. That’s the goal. The burger bar is our anchor-built to be a handy spot for our guests and a go-to destination for locals.

The Space: Industrial Meets Warmth

If you’ve stepped into our lobby, you know that Harthall leans into the modern, creative energy of the neighborhood while maintaining a sense of comfort-think flexible living, but make it stylish. Hart Street Burger Bar follows that same design language.

We actively avoided the whole stiff, white-tablecloth scene. Instead, the space just feels alive. Think heavy leather booths, actual brick walls, and a low, moody evening glow that makes you want to stay for another drink. It’s the kind of place where you can post up with a laptop during the day (our fast Wi-Fi extends down here, by the way), grab a quick bite before a show downtown, or settle in for a long dinner after exploring the city.

Honestly, the location is a massive win. We are merely a short walk away from all the madness Downtown, but tucked right inside the city’s arts community. In basic words, you will actually feel the real Nashville buzz without having to push through a sea of tourists. All you got to do is grab a seat by the open kitchen, watch the guys work the grill, and decide whether you want a basic burger or something wild.

The Food: Honest, messy, and perfect.

Let’s talk about the main event. You can’t call yourself a proper burger bar in Tennessee without taking the meat seriously. Our culinary team has spent months perfecting the blend. We aren’t trying to reinvent the wheel here; we’re just trying to build the best wheel possible.

The menu is focused because we believe in doing a few things incredibly well rather than fifty things poorly.

The star of the show is the Hart Street Smash. It’s a double patty, pressed thin on a screaming-hot griddle to get those crispy, caramelized edges every burger lover dreams of. We top it with American cheese (because let’s be honest, it melts the best), house-made pickles that cut through the richness, and a secret sauce that our chef has threatened to take to the grave.

But a great burger is only as good as its components. We’ve sourced our buns from a local bakery to ensure they have that soft, pillowy interior that can hold up to the juice without falling apart. The fries are hand-cut daily, double-fried to ensure they stay crispy, and salted the minute they come out of the oil.

For the non-beef eaters, we haven’t forgotten you. We offer a crispy chicken sandwich that stands toe-to-toe with the burger, and a house-made veggie patty that is actually good-not the dry, crumbly afterthought you might be used to. And yes, we do milkshakes. Take our boozy vanilla bourbon shake-it’s the perfect match for a summer evening up on the rooftop terrace.

It’s more than just a meal

Here at Harthall, we’ve always touted our “Built for the Everyday” amenities-the chef-ready kitchens in our suites, the in-unit laundry, the fitness center. But we know that sometimes, after a long day of meetings or museum hopping, you don’t want to cook. You want someone to hand you a cold drink and a hot plate of food.

That’s where Hart Street Burger Bar slots into the Harthall experience. It’s just an extension of the hospitality we provide upstairs. Picture checking into one of our big, city-view apartment suites. You unpack, maybe use the fast Wi-Fi to send a few emails, and then head out to explore.

After getting back from exploring, you don’t even need to open Uber or Lyft to find dinner. Just hop in the elevator, hit the lobby, and grab a stool.  Order your favorite beverages from a local tap beer to a heavy cocktail, then gaze out of the massive windows as the sun drops behind the city. Yeah, very easy, but mostly it’s just a great place to hang out. The space gets loud and fun at night. The music plays right into real Nashville history-plenty of rock, blues, and actual soul. The whole building basically revolves around this room.

A nod to the neighborhood

We named it Hart Street Burger Bar for a reason. It’s a nod to our address, a commitment to the block we sit on. Being honest, we absolutely love being down here in Wedgewood-Houston and Chestnut Hill. The creative energy flowing around these blocks is wild, something you can feel everywhere from the art galleries to the music spots.

We really built this restaurant to be a casual hangout where all that local talent collides. So, if you’re hitting an art crawl, catching a Nashville SC match over at Geodis Park, or just driving through the area, grab a seat. Make it your regular spot. It’s the perfect place to celebrate a win, nurse a hangover from a late night out, or just grab a massive bite before heading back out there.

Come on in hungry. We’ll take care of the rest

The July recap is officially in the books, and the doors are open. Hart Street Burger Bar is ready for you.
